The Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) surveyed its members and found that the top IS priority in the next two years is "integrating existing systems to share information across departments".
Next year, I bet they discover the importance and problems of cooperating systems among hospitals, payers, employers, clinics, etc.
