Dear Moderator: Please post if you feel it is appropriate to your list. -------

I'd like to announce the availability of the following special issue:

Conflict Management in Concurrent Engineering in CERA (Concurrent Engineering Research and Applications) Journal

A central aspect of concurrent engineering is the management of conflicts among multiple engineering disciplines throughout the product life cycle. If such conflicts are not addressed in a timely fashion, the result can be huge unnecessary waste, delay and reduced product quality. This special issue focuses on how computer technology can support more effective avoidance, detection and resolution of conflicts in such settings. The papers address a wide range of issues in diverse domains including architecture, software and complex physical systems. The papers may thus be of interest to researchers in distributed artificial intelligence, organizational science, computer-supported cooperative work, group decision support systems, software engineering and other related fields.

The issue appears in Volume 2, Number 3 of CERA journal, which became available December 5, 1994.
