Member of Research Staff ------------------------------- Philips Research in Palo Alto is a research lab in Silicon Valley, part of the worldwide research organization of Philips Electronics, a leader in electronic systems and components with over $40 billion in annual sales. Philips is the developer of the Compact Disc and the Digital Compact Cassette.

We currently have a research position available on a project that is building prototype multimedia systems for medical applications. The project involves integration and management of text, graphics, images, audio and video. Potential candidates must have a background in DBMS and CORBA. Knowledge of PACS, DICOM, HL7, Java, JDBC and data mining is a plus. Advanced degrees or substantial applicable experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline are preferred.
