Dear Enterprise Modeling specialist

Key findings of the ICEIMT'97 conference were =B7 the urgent need for software tools compliant with state-of-the art =

methodologies in enterprise modelling =B7 the recommendation to put such tools into action by way of pilot =

projects with industrial users.

We would like to draw your attention to our tool called StructWare. This =

tool, a development of IvyTeam Ltd, Zug, Switzerland, was tuned to =

business requirements in a EUREKA project (project no.: 1231, project =

acronym: VEOS), together with the Institute of Technology Management of =

the University of St.Gallen (ITEM-HSG).

The tool has been demonstrated in the tool exhibition of ICEIMT'97. If =

you didn't have a chance to look at it you may download a fully =

functional demo version from IvyTeam's Web site =

We have compared the functionalities of Structware with those of other =

tools, following the tables set up by F. Vernadat (see his contribution =

"Enterprise Modelling Languages" in the ICEIMT'97 proceedings, pp =

212-224). Structware fulfils all the requirements and supports all =

modelling principles (see attachment).

Structware is in wide use in workflow systems in the financial sector =

and in public/private administration, as a process definition and =

modelling tool, and for process documentation. With its middleware =

companion Staffware, by Staffware Ltd (http://www.staffware.com), one of =

the world's leading workflow vendors and influential member of the =

Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), it is a winning team for scaleable =

and flexible solutions in efficient business process redesign and =

enactment. =

This thorough know-how may also be deployed for production processes in =

a CIM environment, we think. We are therefore considering an engagement =

in follow-up activities of ICEIMT'97, such as =B7 development of a Unified Enterprise Modelling Language (UEML) =B7 pilot project to introduce workflow in intra- and/or =

interorganisational production processes in selected industrial sectors

If you are =

=B7 planning an enterprise integration pilot project =B7 consulting industry regarding the use of enterprise modelling tools =B7 teaching enterprise modelling with exercises using existing tools

do not hesitate to contact us for support or for project partnership.

Sincerely

Dr. Thomas Schumann TEMAS AG Technology and Management Services Egnacherstr. 69 CH-9320 Frasnacht Tel. +41 71 446 50 30 e-mail: gempera@dial.eunet.ch
