I am happy to announce the Third IFIP Working Conference on Design of Information Infrastructure Systems for Manufacturing to be held in Fort Worth, TX, USA on May 18-22, 1998.
Dr. Ted Williams, Purdue University and the Task Force on Architectures for Enterprise Integration, will present a keynote on enterprise architectures (PERA and GERAM) and the emerging standards for enterprise modeling. T. Mase, General Manager of Toyota Information Systems, will present a keynote on CALS and virtual development. Dr. Richard Jackson, Director of the Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will present a keynote on work on information infrastructures and enterprise modeling. The conference session papers from authors around the world deal with information infrastructure designs and implementation, shop floor and real time systems, infrastructures supporting virtual enterprises, reference frameworks and architectures, and enterprise modeling.
