I am wondering if anybody on the collab or iceimt lists could recommend some starting places either academic or commercial to find internet-based collaboration technology for working with images or multi-media.
Our application would be for medical professionals who wish to markup, collaborate and share image-based medical information on the web. For example, sonographers marking up an ultrasound image on the web without having to import it into a drawing application and then putting it back on the web. Discussion threads, image markup, multimedia including digitized video should all be linked together in this collaboration.
