We invite proposals for technical sessions/ workshops related to the theme of HIS’02. Each technical session will have at least 4/5 paper presentations. Sessions with a large number of papers may be approved as workshops. The session chairs will be responsible for all aspects of their sessions; including soliciting, reviewing, and selecting the papers. To ensure quality of the papers, the technical committee of HIS’02 will be reviewing all the papers/review reports. All approved session chairs will be considered as field editors of the HIS’02 proceedings. Proposals to organize technical sessions should include the following information: - title of the technical session - name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address of the proposer(s) - description of the topic of the session (not exceeding 100 words) - a short description on how the session will be advertised. The deadline for proposal submission is May 30, 2002. Please send your proposal to j.ruizdelsolar@ieee.org The deadline for papers to be submitted directly to the session chairs is to be determined by the session chairs. However, session chairs must send the soft copy of the accepted papers and review reports to the Conference organizers by July 31, 2002.

Call for Tutorials

*************************************************************************** Tutorials will be held on Sunday December 01, 2002. Proposals for tutorials that address the technical topics related to the conference theme are welcome. We encourage programs that will attract industrial members, and programs with high anticipated level of interest, impact, creativity. Tutorial Proposals in MS word/ ASCII/ PDF format must be submitted via email to: j.ruizdelsolar@ieee.org by July 31, 2002. Tutorial abstracts will be published in the HIS’02 proceedings. Proposal Format: - title - abstract / List of Topics (< 1000 words, indicate the number of hours required) - speakers (complete address, phone, and email) - Motivation and Objectives (<300 words) - Primary/Secondary Audience
