12th Triennial IFAC/IFIP/IFORS/IEEE/IMS Symposium

CONFERENCE SCOPE AND TOPICS The purpose of the IFAC Symposium on INFORMATION CONTROL PROBLEMS IN=20 MANUFACTURING (INCOM'06) is to offer a forum to present the progress in=20 international research and development work in this field, with special=20 emphasis on the applications of optimization methods and automation,=20 information and communication technologies in the control of the=20 manufacturing plant and the entire supply chain within the e-enterprise.=20 The symposium will stress the scientific challenges and issues raised by=20 the Intelligent Manufacturing System and Supply Chain paradigms for=20 optimization and agile digital control of the entire production system. The= =20 whole product and processes life cycle will be covered, from the design,=20 through the manufacturing and maintenance, to the distribution and service.

SCIENTIFIC TOPICS - e-Solutions to Plan and Design of Manufacturing Systems - Facilities Planning and Materials Handling - Inventory Control, Production Planning and Scheduling - Monitoring, Diagnosis and Maintenance of Manufacturing Systems - Web-enabled Manufacturing Control and Wireless Automation - Process Modeling and Information Systems within the Extended= Enterprise - Socio-technical and Cognitive Aspects of Automation - Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Modeling and Applications - Distributed Systems and Multi-agents Technologies - Discrete Event Systems Simulation in Manufacturing - Operational Research Applications in CAD/CAM/CAE

Publications: All the papers accepted for presentation at INCOM06 will be published in=20 Preprints Volumes and will be provided for INCOM'06 participants. The=20 articles presented at INCOM will later appear in post conference=20 Proceedings Volumes published by Elsevier Sciences. Those post-conference=20 books will get an ISBN and will be kept on sale by the publisher for at=20 least five years. Moreover, the Symposium INCOM 2006 will publish many of=20 your papers in some of the best international journals:

a) IFAC Journals: -Automatica -Control Engineering Practice -Annual Review in Control -Journal of Process Control -Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence

b) Journals associated with INCOM06 for Special Issues publication: -European Journal of Operational Research -Computers & Operations Research -International Journal of Production Economics -International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing -Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing -International Journal of Systems Science -IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics -Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms

If the signing author has not been contacted for further publication within= =20 three months of the closing date of the symposium, he or she and their=20 co-authors are free to submit the paper elsewhere, provided that full=20 acknowledgement is given in any subsequent publication to the original IFAC= =20 Proceedings and to the INCOM'06 symposium.
