WET ICE '95 IEEE Fourth Workshop on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises By Invitation

Coolfont Resort, Conference Center, and Health Spa Berkeley Springs, West Virginia April 20-22, 1995

sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society supported by AAAI in cooperation with ACM SIGOIS conducted by CERC, West Virginia University

The workshop goal is to focus on infrastructural issues related to collaboration in diverse application domains, ranging from engineering to healthcare. Papers reporting survey, original research, design and development, and applications of enabling technologies will be presented in the following categories: Process; Computer Aided Design, Databases, and Ontology; Multimedia; Mobile Computing; and Collaborative Environments. In addition, half of the workshop agenda will be devoted to parallel working groups to allow participants to discuss key issues with other experts.

Registration to the workshop is by invitation only and is based on papers submitted to the workshop. Additional participants, however, may be invited upon submission of a letter to the Workshop Chair at this address (et-wkshp@cerc.wvu.edu) specifying how the individual can contribute to the workshop.

WHAT YOUR REGISTRATION FEE WILL INCLUDE Your registration fee will include admission to the workshop; all meals, from dinner on April 19 through lunch on April 22; and a copy of the proceedings, printed by IEEE after the workshop.

LOCAL ACCOMODATIONS The workshop will be held at the Coolfont Resort, Conference Center, and Health Spa, a 1,200-acre, rustic mountain retreat in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, approximately 100 miles northwest of Washington D.C. In addition to hiking (including morning nature walks), tennis, swimming, and horseback riding, Coolfont also has a full-service spa, offering massages, facials, and fitness assessments for additional fees. A championship golf course is located at Cacapon State Park, seven miles away. Multi-bedroom guest homes (the best way to get to know your colleagues!) and individual lodge rooms have been set aside at Coolfont Resort at the rate of $70.85 per night. Please make your reservations with Coolfont Resort at 1-800-888-8768 (within the U.S.) or 1-304-258-4500 (fax: 1-304-258-5499) by March 19 and mention that you will be attending the IEEE WET ICE Workshop. Bring your spouse/significant other for an additional $62/night (includes lodging and all meals)! Massage therapy and other spa services should be made in advance by calling Coolfont; ask for the Spectrum Spa. Current prices for massages are $32 for 30 minutes; $49 for 60 minutes; and $72 for 90 minutes.

DIRECTIONS FROM WASHINGTON, DC: Take Interstate 66 West to Route 17 North, to Route 50 West to Interstate 81 North. Take second exit off Interstate 81, which is Route 37, 3 miles to 522 North. Eight miles within the West Virginia line, turn left on Quarry Road to Coolfont. Check-in is at Treetop House, which is two miles on the right. OR Take Dulles Toll Road to Route 28 North to Route 7 West, to Interstate 81 North. Take first exit off 81, which is Route 37, and proceed as in directions above.

DIRECTIONS FROM BERKELEY SPRINGS, WV Take Route 9 West off Route 522 at the 7-11 (convenience store). Go 3/4 mile, passing a castle just over the crest of the hill. Turn left onto Cold Run Valley Road. Check-in is at Treetop House, which is four miles on the left.
